“ The food and service are great!! I am not big on all court tables, but they were clean. If you like hot dogs, this place is great, I am visiting from Oregon. ”
“ Great, old-school hot dogs. I has a classic "Miss Griffin" dog with hot sauce, mustard and their special relish. Very good flavor, and not too spicy hot at all. The relish and hot sauce went very well together. The classic Weiner was good quality and the bun was steamed just right. Nothing was soggy. 3.75 I also tried their Coney dog with hot sauce, mustard, onions and Coney sauce. The coney sauce was meaty and flavorful. Not the best Coney sauce I've ever had, but very good. 5.50. The place is small, with limited dine in room. Folks were friendly, lots of regulars stopping in. Limited sides: chips, cookies and brownies. Soda fountain or bottled beverages, including 7 oz Cokes. I will go back again. ”

“ Being from Alabama where we have a Sneaky Pete's Hot dog chain (which is the best) this place not only has variety they have homemade ingredients and was originally established in the 1900's by a black women who caused traffic problems and brought in bank!! I love even the history behind it. Her last names are Hawkins and Griffin which are both common in Birmingham, AL yet distinct at the same time. I have ties to both last names and on my first visit as I Read the history was absolutely grateful to be a 2022 1st time customer. her legacy and some of her own recipes still live on!! ”

Glad we did, small dining area, cool to see pics and history of Miss Griffin who started it around 100 years ago. super nice people working there and hands down the best hotdog I ever had. Honestly, it might be worth the two-hour drive from Atlanta when I crave one next week ... and there's no doubt I'll think about this from time to time. ”
